It’s Just Like Watching The Detectives

I missed going to the Stephen King event at the FOF, but I did manage to catch an early morning viewing of A Night With Stephen King on Bravo! at 2am.

Taking a cue from King when he mentioned that sometimes he is working on two stories at once (with both morning and evening writing projects), I decided to do the same.

I've wanted to work on and send out some short stories this year, but so far, I have been slacking in that regard.

But today, I pulled out my trusty Story Ideas notebook, flipped through, and picked one to work on.  I've done a bit of research now, and I really think I'm going to be a lot more productive if I stick to this plan.

I like that I can flip between whichever story gets me more excited at the time, and I think this will help me gain a little perspective on each one by taking breaks, stepping back, and letting the dust settle, if only until the next day. Of course, I also hope to sneak in a few episodes of History Detectives throughout the week…
