Idea Overload

Things have been busy in the writing nook, as always, so I can’t complain. Things always go well when I’m busy. Not enough time to get in trouble 😉

I’ve been spending the last month outlining my next serial. At first, I was going to write a sequel to Purgatech: Jess’ Horror, but I actually came up with another idea that is going to be SO FUN TO WRITE.

Do you love Scream? Love lots of twists & turns? Well, that’s where I’m drawing my inspiration from! I’ll start writing in the next two weeks, which means the first chapter will go up this month!

WHAT ABOUT YOUR BOOK?

I know…trust me…I know. After months of pinpointing problem areas in my book, I had to put it on the backburner to focus on freelance work. But I’m almost ready to start ripping it apart. I also have some notes from my HWA Mentor to work through, plus I just started working with an awesome new crit partner, Cynthia Pelayo. She’s been so enthusiastic about it, which just reinvigorates me (because trust me, after like 6 months of finding all the things WRONG with my book, I kind of needed the boost).

So, having said all that, my goal is to get back to that in April and hopefully have a much tighter, cleaner and more kick-ass book this fall.

WHAT ELSE, MARE?

I’m also working on a few short stories (no rest for the wicked…) and I have one out there which will hopefully garner me an acceptance letter soon.

So, even though it doesn’t look like I’m up to much, I am, in fact, working my fingers to the bone writing new stuff for you guys!
