ABOUT The Flora & Fauna of Folklore: Symbols of Midwinter

AN EXCERPT

After the festive season has come and gone, one must never burn discarded holly boughs, as that will surely bring about the death of someone in the household. Care should also be taken not to step on any discarded holly berries or cut down the tree itself, as hardship will follow.
