It&#39;s a gruesome task in comparison to the mopping up I am doing in preparation for the long weekend (i.e. laundry, making picnic plans, final edits of the aforementioned tale).<\/p>\n<p>So, even though I feel like this is the never-ending edit, things could be much worse. Wait till you read what task they are tackling \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>I plan to take it easy for the next few days, but that doesn&#39;t mean I won&#39;t still sneak in some brainstorming for other WIPs. Besides, what better way to do so than staring up at the clouds from under a shady tree?<\/p>\n<p>In other writing news:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One of my fave Brits and constant source of inspiration DJR has <a href=\"http:\/\/davidjrodger.wordpress.com\/2010\/06\/30\/dog-eat-dog-%c2%a6-1st-draft-finished\/\" target=\"_blank\">finished the first draft<\/a> of his latest novel, Dog Eat Dog. Cannot wait to read it!<\/li>\n<li>I hear the first edition of the Red Penny Papers is going to be stellar, with pieces so far from <a href=\"http:\/\/redpennypapers.com\/2010\/06\/15\/chaos-comes-to-the-papers\/\" target=\"_blank\">Aaron<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"http:\/\/fright-fest.blogspot.com\/2010\/06\/six-red-pennies.html\" target=\"_blank\">Cate<\/a>. I better finish my submission and hope it gets accepted<\/li>\n<li>Barry Napier really is conquering the writing world with the <a href=\"http:\/\/barrynapierwriting.wordpress.com\/2010\/06\/29\/2010-continues-to-be-gracious\/\" target=\"_blank\">acceptance of his poetry collection<\/a>, <em>A Mouth For Picket Fences<\/em>. GO Barry!<\/li>\n<li>I&#39;m completely jealous that my fellow hi-fiver <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kvtaylor.com\/welcome\/\" target=\"_blank\">Katey<\/a> is going to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.collphyphil.org\/mutter_hist.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Mutter Museum<\/a> to do a little research! Yes &#8211; medical oddities are fun!<\/li>\n<li>Miss Beanses has started posting <a href=\"http:\/\/jennybeans.net\/2010\/06\/29\/from-the-dark-side-excerpt-from-drew-beattys-letter-from-a-possible-corpse\/\" target=\"_blank\">snippets of stories<\/a> that will appear in the From The Dark Side Anthology. Looking forward to reading more!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Funny how it&#39;s Summer and I seem busier now more than ever. I guess when you&#39;re freelancing, it&#39;s harder to differentiate between seasons. Or week. Or days.
