\"Whoa,On tap for today? Word sprints and editing. <\/div>\n

Thanks to some fantastic feedback on my latest WIPs, I’ve edited 1 piece and have another to tackle. Hoping to submit the latter this week and the former next week perhaps.<\/p>\n

The word sprints? Keeps me on my toes. LSBXE<\/a> has both a countdown timer and a “word count accomplishment bell”. <\/p>\n

One of the years I did NaNoWriMo<\/a>, I was part of the Word War team. Nothing like a little friendly rivalry to up your word count. Only this time, my rival is me! The slacker me, that is, who wants nothing more than to watch reruns of Supernatural and the Twilight Zone than sit at my desk.<\/p>\n

I find that when starting a new piece, sometimes I need to just power through the first draft instead of sitting there and sweating over every little decision. Sometimes, you just gotta purge. THEN, I can splurge!<\/p>\n

I’ll be Peggy Bundy with my box of bon-bons – after<\/em><\/strong> I hit my word count for the day \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Do you use any tricks to keep you on your toes when it comes to your writing? Any little rewards you give yourself when you finish that latest WIP?<\/p>\n
