Granted, I haven't yet moved on from daily pages to working on a story. But knowing that I've succeeded in this area gives me hope that soon I'll also be working on fiction every day again.<\/p>\n
It's pretty hard to believe the summer's almost over. As much as I don't want it to end, it also means that we can say goodbye to the heat and hello to crisp evenings and the smell of fireplaces and the changing colors of the leaves.<\/p>\n
Fall is my favorite time of year. Well, favorite season. My favorite time is Christmas. I suppose I'm just sentimental but old Christmas songs and sitting in the dark with only the light of the Christmas tree just feels so magical to me.<\/p>\n
Mostly I remember the years that Dad would clear a spot on the porch for our speakers and play his homemade tapes of Bing Crosby, Johnny Mathis, and Dean Martin Christmas songs for the entire neighborhood.<\/p>\n
I wonder what people thought as they walked past. Whatever it was, that has to be my fondest memory of Christmas as a child.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
