It reminded me of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0317740\/\" target=\"_blank\">the remake of The Italian Job<\/a> where Seth Green&#39;s character says he wants to buy a stereo with speakers so loud, they blow women&#39;s clothes off. Well last night, the band was not far off, because I could feel the thumping bass line reverberating in my clothes.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/maryrajotte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/images\/postphotos\/skinnypuppy.gif\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Mythmaker\" title=\"Mythmaker\" width=\"300\" height=\"298\" align=\"right\" \/><\/p>\n<p> It also brought me back to high school.&nbsp; I took the Writer&#39;s Craft OAC course, and our Independent Study project was to study 2 books &#8211; either by one author or in one style, and then, amongst various other assignments, to write a piece in the same style.  I was fully into <a href=\"http:\/\/amazon.ca\/s\/ref=nb_ss_gw\/701-5752945-3716331?initialSearch=1&amp;url=search-alias%3Daps&amp;field-keywords=anne+rice&amp;Go.x=0&amp;Go.y=0&amp;Go=Go\" target=\"_blank\">Anne Rice<\/a> then, so of course, I wrote a story about vampires.&nbsp; Well, we were also required to read the story to the class, and we were allowed to do pretty much any kind of presentation we wanted to highlight our stories. So, I pulled out my copy of Skinny Puppy&#39;s Last Rights, put on Track 10 &#8211; Download &#8211; and started it at approximately the 5:24min mark.<\/p>\n<p> I have to laugh at that now!&nbsp; I can&#39;t imagine what my classmates and my teacher thought of me (but then again, I had purple hair then, too, and I wore garters with thigh-high fishnet tights to school).&nbsp; Either way, the song totally gave me the apocalyptic feeling I wanted, and I think it was pretty cool that I was able to do that in school!
