I need to practice, learn, research, experiment.<\/p>\n<p> The next chapter is about the Buddy System, how every writer should have a buddy who, to put it simply, gets it. And gets you. A long-term, ongoing relationship with that one intellectual, emotional, creative soul-mate.<\/p>\n<p> Someone who knows, and can not only tolerate but understand, your sensitivities, fragility, temperament, the nuances when it comes to your writing &#8211; and who will give you a firm kick in the butt when you get too melodramatic or neurotic for your own good.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So, I&#39;ve been reading this book called Writing From The Inside Out.&nbsp; One of the passages stuck with me: The true love of something comes from the doing of it, not from its more obvious fruits.
