WRITE: Witchy Book 2<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I didn\u2019t do much writing on this book in May, but I did brainstorm some new ideas. I felt a few of the chapters were becoming too repetitive, so I decided to cut them, work the important info into other chapters and move up the action of the 2nd act. Hoping that will move things along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n WRITE: Frightmarish 9<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I made progress! Still on track to get it done, printed and shipped out this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n DESIGN: Secret Project 1<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I didn\u2019t get to that in May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n CREATE: Secret Project 2<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I did some legwork on this one, but I think I\u2019ll have to push it to the backburner. I always intended for it to be a Fall project anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Okay, let\u2019s see what I want to get done in June!<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n EDIT: The Bone Key<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Line edits should be coming soon, which means I\u2019m that much closer to launch day! Only 5 months! I can\u2019t believe it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n WRITE: Witch Book 2<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Now that I have a new plan of attack, I can\u2019t wait to get back to it. I Zero Drafted most of the book, but for some reason, I\u2019ve been having a hard time getting back into the flow. I have to just keep at it, I think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n WRITE: Frightmarish 9<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I made some good progress on the zine in May! I think that helped with my momentum. Sometimes, just starting something, even if you only get a small amount done, helps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n DESIGN: Secret Project 1<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I have some research ahead of me. I think this is another case of needing to just get started to get that momentum flowing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n EDIT: Reaper<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I mentioned in a previous post that I unexpectedly found myself editing my Reaper book again. I had re-outlined it back in November, I think, to cut some bloat. Now I\u2019m actually DOING IT. Hoping I can wrap it up this month so I can start sending it out again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I have a few other little things to do this month. Send out my newsletter<\/strong>. Create more promos for The Bone Key<\/strong> that I can post after my cover reveal. Organize my other promos (like bookstores<\/strong> to contact about carrying my book).<\/p>\n\n\n\n I slowly getting back to my routine. Some days are still hard. I\u2019m still trying to figure out how to live in a world without my Mom\u2019s physical presence. I know she\u2019ll always be with me. I just miss her voice, her laugh, her hugs. And I know she only wanted me to be happy.
