THE WEEKLY BREW: Ready, Steady, Go

Last week was still about getting back into a steady routine. This coming week, it’s about writing, writing, writing.

At the beginning of every year, I go over my Patreon to see what’s working, what isn’t, and think about what I want to provide for my supporters. This year, I’m bringing back Frightmarish Zine!

I took an unintentional 2-year hiatus from it, but I’ve been itching to get back to it. I’ve had so much great feedback and many positive responses to it, so I’m excited to get back to creating. It will have the usual new fiction, folklore articles and activity pages, along with some new features. Since it’s quarterly, I also want to do a mini zine that will go out in those months where there’s no zine (which means…I need to get moving to get one completed for January!).

I’m also stressing over getting these new stories for my collection just right. I’ve been away from short stories for so long that I almost feel like a newbie all over again. Hopefully, as always, it will come together in the editing process.

I’m definitely trying to enjoy the process more, rather than focusing solely on the outcome. This is part of my 2026 Intentions…and my Word of the Year!
