A list of intentions for July 2025, including writing, revising, creation and outlining projects.

July 2025 Intentions

Summer’s here – and things are cooking in the Writing Nook!

I had to add a mini whiteboard to the wall beside my desk to keep track of everything I’m currently working on (which keeps the 1000 other projects on my To Do List out of sight to keep me sane).

I have some new things to get to work on this month, but first, let’s see how I did in June:

  • OUTLINE: Folk Horror Novella – it’s done!
  • WRITE: Folk Horror Novella – Outlining took longer than I thought, but I did manage to combine outlining with the Zero Draft. Time to start writing it!
  • CREATE: The Hexford Lore – also done! I decided to move this to a quarterly project like Frightmarish. It’s fun – but I have so many books I want to write!
  • EDIT: The Bone Key sequel – Ugh. Why can’t I finish this? Maybe I’ll blog about it…
  • WRITE: New Patreon content – Yeah! I shared everything but Macabre Morsels this month. Why is it so hard to write a 100-word story?!

JULY INTENTIONS

I feel pretty good about everything I accomplished in June. Now…on to July!

A list of intentions for July 2025, including writing, revising, creation and outlining projects.
  • WRITE: Folk Horror Novella: now that it’s Zero Drafted, I’m hoping to get this thing written in its entirety this month
  • REVISE: The Bone Key sequel – There honestly isn’t that much left to do. I just have a mental block about it. I might share why in a blog post
  • WRITE: Story for Collection: at least one would be great!
  • CREATE: Cut-out Poetry: these have been SO FUN to make! I’d love to do one a week
  • OUTLINE: 2nd Folk Horror Novella – I’m unstoppable! Or…maybe I just have too many ideas I want to get to
