THE WEEKLY BREW: Stalling Out

Ever feel like you’re hitting your head against a brick wall? That’s how I feel trying to finish these stories for my collection.

They just…aren’t working for me. They feel too surface, too “vibes only”. Some people might like that sort of thing, but I still feel like they’re missing something. Which means…I’ve stalled out.

That also doesn’t bode well for getting this collection done in time to self-publish! I’ll keep at it, but I feel the pressure mounting. All self-imposed, mind you. But that’s what most of my pressure is, to be fair 🙂

If things keep going this way, I might push this back and go back to the novella. Making no progress is killing me! But…the 2nd Owl Witches book is in the final FINAL stage of revisions before I start querying. And I made a new quarter-sized edition of Frightmarish Zine, which will be available shortly. So, even though I feel like I’ve got nothing to show for January, I have, in fact, made some strides.

Now, if I can just quiet that little voice in my head that says I’m blowing it…I just might make some headway.
