WIP Wednesday: Tempus Fugit

I’m not sure what it is about time and how it seems to be flying by now more than it ever did when I was a kid.

I went to Texas almost a month ago now! I’m not sure what I’ve done in the almost 3 weeks since I've been back, but I can tell you I have not gotten as much writing done as I would like.

I did lose over a week to some strain of Airplane Plague which fully gestated in the 5 hours or so from the time I left San Antonio until the time I got back home.

I've also been working on a project that I mentioned in passing on Twitter, which I hope to have up & running by April.

And my latest WIP is taking a lot of extra slashing & hacking to get it to the twisted little vision I had when the idea first struck.

I wish I could churn out a new story every few days like some creative prodigies I know. But I’m just not wired that way. Sure, the toiling and the whittling away of all the words and ideas that don’t belong can be maddening. But it makes getting to the core of the story that much more of a triumph.

At the very least – it keeps me busy.
