June eBook reveal

likeflies_miniThe eBook for all SPECTATOR, GROUPIE and ROADIE patrons has launched – and it’s a throwback!

Like Flies To Honey was originally published in the Winter 2010 edition of Shroud Magazine, but now you can read it in eBook format.

ABOUT LIKE FLIES TO HONEY
On the day of the annual Honey Ball, newcomer Robert Blythe spends his day rubbing elbows with the cream of the crop. But that does not necessarily safeguard him from being judged by the company he keeps.

COVER SHOWDOWN

The cover went through a few different incarnations until I came up with the final design, but I think it turned out really great.

Version 1 was a quick mock-up and I think you can tell. I liked the idea of the subtle honeycomb background but the stock frame detail was just a bit too generic for me.

Version 2 was better – but I thought it was looking a little too much like bathroom tile for my liking đŸ™‚

Version 3 was again more subtle but I think it has more of a haunting vibe, and the addition of the bees adds a dimension of menace, which is a palpable thread in the story itself.

I hope it manages to intrigue readers enough to pick up a copy! You can grab yours by becoming one of my patrons (support starts at just $1 per month and you can cancel anytime).
