April 2020 Goals

It has been over a year since I started posting my Monthly Goals updates. How cool is that?!

Now, I know it sometimes looks like I am an overachiever with these goals but I don’t hit every goal I set out every month. In fact, more often than not, I only hit one or two. But that doesn’t stop me from setting them. 

So, are you wondering what I’ll be up to this month? Read on!

• WRITING – Fun & Games: Witchy Edition. This month is all about writing the next 2 to 4 chapters of my book for Novel In A Year. Last month was a bit of a struggle but I’m getting into the part of the book where all the cool witchy shenanigans happen so I think it will go more smoothly
• READING – More NIAY Chapters: My classmates in the workshop are KILLING IT with their books. I am in awe. These are going to be some spectacular books. And I’ll be sure to let you know when these books are published because trust me, you are going to want to read them! We’ve got literary fiction with a touch of magic. Neo-noir. Sci-fi. And a good old fashioned suspense novel.
• PATREON – New Fiction. I don’t want to give TOO much away about this month’s new fiction but let’s just say it’s a hidden gem (in my eyes, at least!) and I’m looking forward to sharing it with you.
• WRITING – Inspired Flash Fiction: I’ve got two different pieces I’m working on that I intend to release to you guys. One is inspired by a photo. The other is a flash piece I workshopped last year. I love both ideas so it depends on which one comes together first
• EDITING – Reaper Novel – Yes, I’m still trying to edit this book! I won’t stop! I have to get it done! Even 1 chapter edited would thrill me at this point!

So, what are your goals for this month? I know this sounds like a lot but I need to keep my mind off the never-ending news updates with the latest pandemic statistics.
