2023 Wrap-Up

Similar to last year, I thought that I hadn’t done much publishing in 2023, but when I sat down to look at my list, I’m pretty happy with what I’ve done this year.

I continued writing stories for the zine, and only subbing to markets here & there.

WHAT I ACCOMPLISHED THIS YEAR

• Sold my debut novel to Quill & Crow Publishing House!
• Published 3 stories in anthologies
• Published 4 poems in anthologies
• Self-published 5 new stories in Frightmarish Zine
• Self-published 4 issues of Frightmarish Zine
• Was invited to contribute to Love Letters to Poe Vol. 3
• Was invited to contribute to Haunted Mansions from Curious Corvid
• Queried my dream agent (still waiting…)

COMING in 2024

I have lofty goals for 2024!

• Finish/Edit the sequel to The Bone Key
• Outline/Write/Edit book 3 in The Bone Key world
• Edit Reaper book (again – just minor edits)
• Outline/Write the sequel to my Reaper book
• Continue publishing Frightmarish Zine (though the number of issues is up in the air for now)
• Outline/Write a non-fiction folklore book
• Work on a couple of oracle decks
• Launch a new witchy Patreon with printables & readings

I know – it’s A LOT. But I really want to focus on longer works this year. And branching out a bit with the oracle decks/printables as a new outlet for my creativity.

I love what I do and I want to do more! All I know is…I need to get planning!
