How To Request The Bone Key At Your Local Library

The Bone Key is now in my local library!

Want to know how cool Canada is?

Every time an author’s book is found in one of the selected library systems, the author gets paid, as long as they have signed up to the Public Lending Right program through the Canada Council for the Arts.

We all have a towering TBR pile. Every year, thousands of books are released. We can’t buy them all and give them a Forever Home, no matter how much we want to! So…libraries are the next best thing!

Not only does it help you support your local community AND authors themselves, it gives you the prefect excuse to read well past your bedtime…especially when the book’s due date is coming up!

Suggesting a Book at the Toronto Public Library

I’m not sure if every library system is the same, but since I’m in Toronto, I’ll share what I know about our local system.

The Toronto Public Library allows readers to suggest ONE title per month. Think of all the cool books you can suggest! All you have to do is login with your library card number & PIN and enter the info for the book you want to suggest.

Request The Bone Key Using Libby

Did you know you can also request books using the Libby app?

Even if your library doesn’t have the book you want, you can search for the book, then use the “Notify Me” tag on said book. This shows your library that you’re interested – and hopefully they’ll purchase it! More info on this process can be found HERE.
