The Art of Letter Writing
I miss receiving letters. I used to have 3 pen pals in England that I would send thick 15-page letters to. I'd stuff in little trinkets, or photos. That was a great feeling, going to the mailbox and finding a lumpy package waiting.
I've since lost touch with one of those pen pals. The other 2 e-mail me occasionally. But still, there's nothing like a handwritten letter from someone far away, the time spent in putting thoughts down on paper. Sometimes notes were short, just quick updates. And others turned into stream-of-consciousness spillings of thought…interest…dream.
