Mary’s eerie tales inspire in readers the urge to double-check the deepest, darkest closets, to peer anxiously under the creakiest of beds, and to always sleep with the lights on.

Another great one, Mary. Keep them coming
Finally, someone recognizes my genius!
These are waaaaay too awesome.
Aww, you flatter me.
Keep it coming
Man…this is fun. I always felt like LOTF was more poetic than prosey. Maybe this explains why so many of my students don’t “get” it.
It would be a great class exercise! Print out random pages and have your students “find” their own poem
Oh this is great. Two in a row! I have to try my hand at this. Where is that damned book now…oh yeah, downstairs in that box I haven’t unpacked yet…
Be sure to share if you do give it a try. It will be interesting to see what you come up with!
These are amazing, Mary! I love reading them.
Thanks Jenny! I’m going to keep doing them but I think I should also do some from cereal boxes or something to show that ideas really can come from anything & everything
