Taking a Turn
Although I have been keeping up fairly well with my morning pages, I still feel like I have lost focus. When I did the book the first time around, I seemed to have more 'a-ha!' moments, and maybe I have just fallen into the trap of comparing the two.
Mostly, I think I just feel unorganized again. And I definitely have not yet graduated to writing anything OTHER than my morning pages. All along, my thinking was simply that I did not know what I wanted to write. When I write fiction, it is usually dark fantasy or horror. When I write poetry it is more literary. I'm just having a hard time finding my niche, I guess.
My biggest issue is time management. Although I have set up my own scheduled 'days', such as updating our business website, or making new products, or writing, I still seem to get sidetracked. I guess that's the problem of working from home and being your own boss.
Again, I still haven't delved into the Artist's Dates myself. I don't know why I am resisting. Old habits die hard, I suppose. The weather has finally taken a turn for the better, though, and soon I will be itching to get out!
