15 Things You’ll Discover In The Bone Key

Want to know more about the witchy world in my book, The Bone Key? I’ll be sharing little teasers here up until release day this October 20!

DAY 1: COVEN

The Bone Key is a dark Gothic fantasy novel with elements of Mexican folklore. It follows the Aquelarre Búho (Owl Coven), focusing on two houses within that coven. The Assemblée de la Terre is the Earth Assembly, and they are located just outside Montreal, while the Asamblea de La Lumbre, the Fire Assembly, is located in San Diego. These witches work together throughout The Bone Key to preserve their magic, one that was conjured from the first witch of their coven centuries ago.

DAY 2: CEREMONY
The Bone Key opens at Mabon, the Autumn Equinox, with an important ceremony celebrating the welcoming of new witches, where each must give a part of herself to show her devotion to the coven. Another ceremony called the Opening of the Flower happens later in the book, where the witches gather to safeguard themselves before they lose their magical abilities. Each one is important to continuing the legacy of the Aquelarre Búho (Owl Coven) through sacred rites.
