Weapon of Choice

I have not fallen off the face of the earth. I’ve been face-to-face with the Reaper. I’ve been holed up in storm shelters with ghosts. I’ve been daydreaming about blackbirds and bees and being buried alive. Who said being a writer could ever be boring?

The WIPs are treating me well, all clamoring for attention but at least they are behaving at the moment. Maybe it’s because we made a deal. As long as I schedule a little face time with each one, they seem to be content to wait their turn. But now that summer is here, things might get a little testy, since we try to get out of the house as much as possible.

I guess I better be prepared to bring my pen & notebook to avoid a mutiny.
