NaNoWri-D’oh!

NaNoWriMo starts in a few days and I still haven't finished planning my idea yet! It also doesn't help that it starts the same weekend we move to the new condo. Monday is my free day (so far). Then Tuesday, we have to pick up furniture at both my brother's and Chris' parents. And we have to be back by 1 PM for our furniture delivery. Wednesday, I guess we'll be moving more stuff since Chris is off work and sometime between Tuesday and Friday someone will be coming to apply the stain guard to the new couches. Why don't they just do that shit in the warehouse? Beats me.

So I really REALLY want to have my idea all worked out in the next few days (well, day really, since Friday we have to meet with the lawyer I suppose and we get the keys and have to book the elevator etc etc etc.). That's the only way I can see myself being able to actually sit down in the spare time I WILL have. I want to be able to just sit and write instead of going back and forth within my mind, trying to get everything straight.

If all else fails, I will pull a Stephen King, go with my basic premise, and write my first draft 'with the door closed' and see where it takes me! Who knows…it could be the best thing I've ever written!
